The Virginia Area Historical Society is a nonprofit organization committed to collecting, preserving and disseminating the history of the Virginia area.

The society has 350 members from all parts of the country. Membership benefits include free admission to the museum, quarterly newsletters and monthly meetings that include historical or cultural programs.

Friends of B'nai Abraham have asked VAHS to partner with them in their restoration of the synagogue and making it into a museum and cultural center. VAHS volunteers welcome visitors on Wednesdays and Fridays from noon until 3:00 during the summer months.

MEMBERSHIP DUES Annual Membership- $10 Life Membership for those under 62 years of age - $60 Life Membership for those over 62 years old - $40 Club or Organization - $15 Business - $25

 

The society's work is largely done by volunteers who are greatly appreciated. The society is fortunate to have a very hard-working and active board of directors.
